NEUROUNIQUE: the BOOK: February 2022

Take a close look at the human brain in the this photo. I taught my students: “Your brain is neurologically unique.”
As a teacher it became my life’s work to uncover their unique learning styles and open the doors for their optimal learning.

CHAPTER 26: LAURA BROWN (in progress)

Hoping to make this book a better read, I enlisted the help of one of my former students, Laura Brown. The Only Business Writing Book You'll Ever Need. Laura Brown was one of my students in the 70's.

I remember Laura during her high school days (photo left) but in 2019 W. W. Norton & Company published her first book: The Only Business Writing Book You'll Ever Need. It is dedicated to her teacher Catherine M. Rose. Who is Catherine Rose and what was it about her teaching that inspired Laura? Let's ask.

CLASSROOM QUOTATIONS

Each day began with a QUOTE FOR THE DAY waiting on the chalkboard as classes arrived. Students opened their notebooks to Chapter 1: Class Notes, where the quotation was entered with: "What it means to me."

Following a brief discussion students would record one or two of the best class comments. In a way class note quotes became a sort of diary. One of my former students [now a teacher] continues this Quote For The Day legacy in his classroom. Teachers seldom know what kids take with them as they leave your classroom.
